Message from President Jordan
Dear colleagues and students:
Metropolitan State University of Denver is committed to maintaining a work and study environment free of discrimination based on disabilities.
In keeping with this commitment, MSU Denver has designed this accessibility website to summarize the rights of individuals with disabilities under college policy and federal/state laws and to provide information about accessing MSU Denver programs, resources and services.
Since the advent of the internet, concerned Web designers have struggled with techniques and guidelines to make their pages accessible to a wide range of viewers. Too often there is a considerable gap in content accessibility between those with sight, vision, hearing, learning disabilities and mobility impediments and those without such impediments.
The information on this website works to close that gap, while MSU Denver continues to develop accessible technology-based instructional resources, methods for the delivery of distance learning, online/hybrid classes, computer labs as well as other websites.
Here you will find information about accessibility issues specific to MSU Denver including:
- academic programs
- academic accommodations for students
- classroom accommodations
- accommodations for faculty and staff
I encourage all faculty, staff and students to peruse this site so that we, as a community, can provide the best in accommodations for those with disabilities.
Stephen M. Jordan, Ph.D.
